How to Stand in the evil day

How to Stand in the evil day

The evil day is the day when the enemy and his cohorts arise against you to shoot many arrows and darts at you, hoping to wound you so much that they immobilize you in the journey of life or take you out completely.

How do you escape?

Stand and be covered in this evil day by three means I learned, also preached by a preacher.

1. The most sure is the Word of God.

Christian holding the Bible.

Stay covered by the Word of God. Store up the Word of God voraciously in your heart, and bring to remembrance the words that God has previously spoken to you. Let these words be your safe place. Stand in complete obedience and return to them. Stay in complete alignment with the Word of God. When you’re in alignment, the arrows miss.

You must have the Word of God at the forefront of your mind and at your fingertips. This is a time to hide yourself in the Bible. Listen to the audio Bible. Read the physical Bible. Listen to Spirit-filled messages from ministers of God, and stay constantly hearing the Word of God.

This does two things: it fills your heart with the memories of what is true and what is real for you.

It also not only permeates your heart but permeates the physical environment around you, creating an atmosphere of the Spirit of Truth.

With this literal and physical change in the atmosphere, the devil’s arrows, his air, and his transmissions in the airwaves cannot permeate or coexist in the environment formed around you by exposing yourself to the audio of the Spirit of Truth.

This audio commonly comes by listening to anointed music from ministers who carry this definite presence of the Holy Spirit through intimacy. Listening to them commands a change and a transformation in your atmosphere, producing a protective dome around you.

2. Prayer, of course, is also protective.

But prayer is not just a prayer against the enemy. It has to be prayer from joy, peace, hope, and rest rather than from fear and anxiety. These are different spiritual locations with different abilities: one is prayer from under, and the other is prayer from above.

Prayer from rest—prayer from strong confidence in God and clarity—has the power to command change in your physical experience, and that is the prayer that conquers the devil.

Prayers from fear amuse the devil because they feed him. He’s excited by our fear.

3. Thanksgiving, singing, and dancing.

Listen to God-given music. Play it around you. Sing and dance. This, again, is a very powerful weapon against the enemy. Persevere in this.

I always had the fear of not being present for my children, of not being there. Working in the medical profession as a doctor, there are not many specialties or fields that allow you the freedom or opportunity to be fully present — to have time available during the formative years of your children.
